Silky Smooth Cheese Sauce

Smooth, creamy, cheesy goodness . This sauce is the perfect companion for broccoli, carrots, potato's or with the addition or more spices pasta. Cheese can turn something ordinary, into something extraordinary. Something healthy, into a crave worthy comfort food. If you need a magic trick to get your kids to eat there vegetables, look no further then cheese! This cheese sauce recipe is a classic recipe that I'm sure has been around for many years. My mom made this sauce for us growing up, and I have carried this on to my family to enjoy. Now I pass it on to you.
TIP: Resist the urge to whisk the milk once added to the rue. This this will separate the fats in the milk and create a gritty sauce. If you don't cook the flour long enough, this will also
create an unpleasant texture in the sauce. Smooth and creamy is the goal. Ingredients: 1 Cup Milk 2 Tbsp Butter 2 Tbsp Flour Pinch of Salt and Pepper 2 Cups shredded medium cheddar
Directions: - Add butter, salt, pepper and flour to a small pot. Over medium heat bring up to a simmer stirring constantly. - Simmer for 2 minutes to cook the flour. - Reduce heat and add milk. STIR continuously on low heat until thick. - Remove from heat and add shredded cheese. - Stir until smooth - Serve hot and enjoy!
